lol i just did a run with a chinese monk that didnt have SB, so i watched him, after he died, then i catched him using Zealots fire.
So what to do ?
Take the quest, lure everything on top of him and watch him try to use smiting skills without SV xD.
and Iya, thats because you re not meant to get fow armor after the first 1 or 2 months of playing, its meant to take time unless you ebay.

I know a 55 monk that can tank all the smites, colds, and the 18 dryders Ice reaper quest .
55 monk can do as good as a spirit bond, just harder.

I don't really get the point of the thread, don't think of the bladeds as a huge all-powerful things, think of it as a crazy strong warrior. Not all monsters can have skills from all professions. I think the bladed look badass everytime I go in.

actually, you can get 6 ectos in a run. Last sunday, we, the ss I usual farm with, has a great day. We got about 15-20 ectos a piece in about 3-4 hours. 1 time I got 3 ectos in 1 group of smites. they all droppped for me, and I wish I could have kept them all. Thats by far the best day we have most times we get 2+ ectos per run, but there are dry days when you get none.
It's not like you get a million K for stepping into the underworld, it takes a while.

My personal record of smites successfully tanked as a 55 is 18 (without Spirit Bond). That was because that was all I could aggro at the time, not because that was all I could handle. If there was ever a group large enough, I'm sure I could successfully tank 25+ smites. If I happened to die and had 13hp I would be able to do 40+ probably. The difference between the average 55 tanking 4-10 smites and me tanking 12-18 (on average) is purely a matter of skill and experience. My favorite way to tank UW now is as a 55 Spirit Bonder. This build can tank any number of anything just about, and you don't have to worry about the grasps triggering SB.

They nerfed EoE the very week after that build went public too to stop it.
And I severely doubt you are able to surviving the one hit killing suicide/energy stealing enemies solo.

The reason I'm disagreeing with you on this is because, if you look at the whole underworld... the area they can farm is actually very small. The area is gigantic and CANT be completely soloed, therefore why nerf the one place its actually possible?
As to the comment about making Shield of "juggernaut" as you called it remove all enchantments, you show no knowledge on this subject matter considering you dont even know the main skill of the build we're discussing. Please go away before you show more of your foolishness.

Obviously noone can solo everything. Can a 2 man team solo the whole of the underworld or FoW? Maybe some can, and those few must be very skilled. Your complaining about people who kill on average 50 monsters per uw run (including all those failed attempts). Whine whine whine. Boo hoo hoo. By the time a 2 man UW run is finished you could have made just as much money in the same amount of time with a 'goood' 8 man team or doing some other stuff.

55 should work simply becasue it is possible. Clearly Anet intended somebody to eventually find that you can lower your life to 55, and take so little damage you can heal it all off, and then go on to kill your enemies from their own attacks etc.
Everything is there and it can't be a coincidence. 55ing is open to everybody who owns prophecies, or can find a way to get the cestra so why complain?
